TONING THE SKIN
Using a toner after cleansing is an important part of a skincare regimen. Toner performs some essential functions for your skin. Toner purifies the skin, and remove excess impurities. Leftover debris will go deeper into the pores as you apply your moisturizer causing irritation and acne.
Toner hydrates the tissues for proper cell function and will restore the natural PH level. Without toner, the sebaceous glands become confused--oily skin pumps out more oil and dry skin stops producing oil. Toner prepares the skin for moisturizer and revitalizes the skin. It is important to choose a toner that nourishes the skin without drying it out. Many toners on the market use alcohol as well as synthetic fragrance and color.
The toners I have chosen are pure and will hydrate and feed your skin with gentle, clean ingredients.
HOW TO USE TONER
After cleansing, apply toner over entire skin surface with a cotton pad and leave on. In addition, toner should be used after masks as well. Continue with serum and appropriate moisturizer.
